Progress Report: Anyone out there?

So, uh, real quick, I just wanna ask, is anyone actually reading this blog? Like, reading my stuff here, instead of reading it on Hentai Foundry or Literotica or Patreon? I'm not seeing a whole lot of traffic, and I honestly don't know how much of said traffic is just bots and random people passing through. Plus, I've kinda been using twitter to post about story progress and real life developments, so that reason for having the blog's kinda become obsolete. If nobody's reading, I'm probably just gonna stop updating it, or delete it, just to give myself one less place I have to post to and keep up-to-date.

So... Anyone out there? Anyone? ....Bueller?

EDIT 12/1:
Well, it certainly seems clear enough by the response that this is not, in fact, dead. Also, that I should probably try to update some stuff to connect to my various other profiles. I'll keep updating everything here, so don't y'all worry.

Musings- March

Hey there, squish here, with this month's update and musings! Sorry I'm late for the start of the month, turns out my recent case of the flu left behind a multi-drug-resistant sinus infection, and I'm just finally starting to feel vaguely human again. One big update: unfortunately, I'm going to have to pause my work on the new chapter of By The Horns for a moment. Some of you who read my blog might remember that a while ago, I was asked to make a submission to a real, published book of short stories, volume two of Sex and Sorcery. I've just recently been reminded that the window for that submission closes at the end of the month, so I've gotta get on that, like, YESTERDAY. I won't be able to share that chapter with you guys, unfortunately, for legal reasons, so you'll have to wait and get the book when it comes out. :P Anyways, onto the topic at hand! For the very first time, I actually have musings from last month to release to the public! Primeval Passions, the first part in the tale of two reptilian romantics, and Spider, a profile for a wandering bad-boy bard with six hands and magic fingers. I'll also release my very first bonus chapter, My Little Clopfic, for public consumption. I think I'll probably be releasing a bonus chapters per month like this until I run out of bonuses, then it'll go down to just the musings. This month, I only have one musing suggestion, but it's a good one. An arrogant succubus who bites off more than she can chew. The other musing is still a wild card. I might use it to continue the Primeval Passions story, I might use it to write a long-overdue short I promised a friend, but we'll find out together. The musings will have to wait until later in the month, though, I really need to focus my energies on the submission at the moment if I want to get it out in time.

Progress Report: Back on track!

New rule: No Skyrim before 5.
Honestly, it's a been an enormous enormous clusterfuck around here. Distractions, delays, excuses, missed deadlines... I mangled my sleep cycle beyond recognition, I was off my ADHD meds for like three weeks, I got impressively sick... I'm not gonna let it happen again, though. This month, I'm gettin' shit done.

[redacted]

This month was two musings, the first is a profile for a new sci-fi/fantasy OC that can fit into almost any unrealistic setting, and the second is a short scene about a pair of scaly characters. If you want to see them now, or vote on the musings for next month, you'll have to check out my patreon!

And, in regards to further progress, I've finally finished the rough draft for Operation K-9 chapter 2! I imagine, perhaps optimistically, that I'll be finished with it and the preview will be up sometime next week, so look forward to that! Speaking of, I should probably stop procrastinating and get back to the rewriting... >.>

Progress Report: Holidays, man.

1/4/16: UPDATED

Hey there, squish here, just checking in briefly since I've been quiet for a while. I just wanted to let you guys know I'm still alive and writin'. I'm working on a new chapter of Operation k-9 at the moment, and it's going well! Progress IS definitely slow, though. With the holidays approaching, I've been losing writing time to holiday prep. You know, shopping for presents, decorating the house and the tree, decorating Grandma's house for her, baking cookies, frosting said cookies, eating the frosted cookies, having to bake more cookies... The usual stuff. Unfortunately unavoidable tasks, and tasks that tend to spoil the mood, as they say. I also lost a day re-watching Star Wars before seeing the Force Awakens, but I'm not gonna apologize for that. :P

Anyways, I'm making good progress on the new chapter, knocked out about 3k words today, but considering the time of the month, the fact that the big day is gonna be later this week, and that there's new year's too, I'm not honestly certain if I'll be able to make this a two-chapter month. I'll keep writing, and maybe I'll be able to get the chapter preview out before the end of the month, but I can't really say at this point. Anyways, just wanted to let you guys know what's goin' on! Keep reading, and I'll keep writing!

UPDATE:
I got Skyrim for Chrismas (my new computer is the first one I've owned that would actually be able to run it since it came out) and the game ate me whole for about a week. I think I've slept like four times since christmas, and got my character up to 48. I mean, come on, YOU CAN FIGHT DRAGONS AS A WEREWOLF. How could I not do EXACTLY THAT?
Anyways, no progress on writing for that last little bit there, but I'm getting back into it. I'm gonna do this month's musings first, to get back into the swing of things, then finish off the new chapter.

Progress Report: I have an excuse! It's a good one, I swear!

Hey there, squish here, with a series of recent developments!

Well, first off, my computer had a meltdown on Monday. After six years of service, the increasingly-frequent bugs, crashes, overheatings, and general performance issues finally overcame the old girl. Ultimately, I decided it was time to bite the bullet and, rather than pour hundreds more in repairs into it, buy a new one. I'm actually typing this from my brand new (well, refurbished) computer! Thankfully, it wasn't quite as expensive as I was bracing myself for it to be, so the purchase only wiped out HALF my savings, instead of ALL of them. I've pretty much spent the entire week thus far either trying fruitlessly to fix the old computer, researching new computers, shopping, rooting out the unwanted preloaded programs (still can't figure out how to get rid of this damn photos-to-merchandise thing), updating the system, and re-installing the programs I actually use. Unfortunately, that means I've gotten basically no writing done. But, I think it's probably worth it to have a computer that doesn't audibly complain when it has to display any sort of video.

There's another major development that's been slowing my work as of late, one that I didn't want to share until I was sure there was something solid. Now, I think I can be confident in announcing it. I've been talking with a publisher of erotic fantasy and sci-fi, who shall, for the moment, remain nameless. We've discussed a number of things, but I feel confident in letting my faithful readers know that they've asked me to submit a chapter to a short story collection! Now, it's still gotta be selected out of all the other submissions, but this is still a huge deal for me! I might actually get my work professionally published! With a signing bonus and everything! And if that weren't enough, we've also been discussing the possibility of not just one, but a whole series of novels! We still have to work out the specifics of how and when the books will get written, but it's looking VERY good so far!
What would the novels be about, you ask? Excellent question, I reply! The books will be based on the plans for one of my stories! What story, you ask? Stop interrupting me and you'll find out, I say! Only one of my stories has the grand, arching storyline, the intricate and expansive setting, the truly epic scope such a series would call for! The Titles of Angra B'ahram! Each book will center around the story of one of Angra Ba'ahram's many titles, and how the humble incubus Ahram came to earn them. I haven't been able to stop thinking about the story since first I wrote it, and what ideas might have once fit into a single chapter have grown, unbidden, into sprawling, interwoven tales, too large to contain within a single chapter! This way, I'll be able to delve into the setting, to explore the nature of the multiverse, the 667 worlds of the Abyssal Empire, and the characters within in glorious detail!

Anyways, I hope you guys can understand why it's taking me a while to get anything done. I've got a lot on my mind, and a lot on my plate, but I'm still workin'. I like to think this chapter of Happy Birthday will be worth the wait!

Progress Report #6: Brain not work good

Updated: 08/19/15

Hey, readers, 'tis I with a brief update once again!

I'm working on the last chapter of the main storyline of Daddy's Home, in case you weren't aware. I had hoped to be able to have it finished by last Friday, which, as you can probably guess, has not panned out. Unfortunately, the story seems to be less cooperative than I would like. I keep finding myself driven to rearrange the outline, or change parts of the story, even if they've already been written. I like to think the story will ultimately be better for these changes, but it has the unfortunate side effect of making this whole thing take much, much longer than I would have liked. Maybe I'm being anal about the whole thing, but I want to end the story with a bang (literally and figuratively). It certainly doesn't help that I've been mysteriously distractible for the last few weeks. Not sure why or what I can do to fix it, but I can't seem to sit down and do anything without my attention wandering every few minutes. That certainly doesn't excuse my slowness, but I wanted to let you guys know what I'm dealin' with.

In summary: Still working, albeit slowly. Getting it good enough that I'm happy with it is taking forever.

Update: Just to let you all know, I'm still working. I think I might have just been a little burned out for whatever reason, but i think I'm turnin' it around. This month is not going to be as productive as I would like.

Progress Report #5: I live!

Hello, my faithful readers!
Reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated. Sorry I've been all quiet lately, it's been an odd couple of weeks. I went off on a camping trip, then I was recovering from nature overdose, then I was just super lazy for a few days, then nexflix got its wicked little hooks into me... In the end, I was pretty much entirely unproductive for about two weeks. Not exactly pleased with myself on that count.

But I've gotten back into the swing of things, and I'm writing again! I've finished the first draft of my second commission, which shouldn't take all that long to edit/rewrite once the commissioner gets back to me. I think a lot of my fans are going to enjoy the subject of this one. Hopefully, the final version ends up being worth the wait in the end!

Progress Report #4: Could be Better.

Hello, faithful readers! It’s me again!
I've been working hard on these stories, and I've been quiet for a while, so I figured I should probably poke my head it to let you know how things are doing.
Good news is, I’m done with two of the three rough drafts, and I really like what I have so far. One of them in particular seems to have developed in a very, very cool fashion while I was writing it, to the point that I’d be really tempted to write a story set in that universe, even if it wasn’t full of debauchery and sexytimes. I’ve also upped my daily word-quota from 2k to 2.5k, and it seems to be working reasonably well, which could mean faster chapter output.

Bad news is, they’re both still roughs, I haven’t figured out how to make the world of the third story work properly, and I’m suddenly expecting company around the house throughout my normal writing hours all next week. I’m gonna try to set up some kind of workspace arrangement where I won’t be interrupted or distracted, but it’s entirely possible that it just won’t work. Losing a week of productivity is a really unappealing prospect. I’m already gonna have to push it to get all three done in time. If I lose a week, I might be able to finish one, possibly two if I work a miracle. And I’d hate to default on the milestone guarantee of two chapters/month so soon.
Upside of the bad news is if I manage to set up an interruption-free work-space with company around the house, I might be able to write on weekends, too.

Progress Report #3: Mostly Good

Greetings once more, my faithful readers! It's been about a week since Arabian Days, so I figured it was time for a progress report.

Well, unfortunately, I was sick for the majority of the last week, and I'm still fighting off the last stubborn symptoms, so I'm a little bit behind schedule. For the most part, though, things are mostly good. Which is certainly better than the alternative. I'm writing a little faster with each story, so maybe you guys won't have to wait quite so long for new material as things pick up speed. [redacted]
I've gotten a metric crapton of commissions all of a sudden! I arranged one as an art trade, then I suddenly got three commissions in like a week! I'm not revealing any details just yet, but they're all pretty long and impressive in scope, and if my current fanbase is any indication, they should be quite popular! I'm really eager to start writing, and I'm looking forward to fleshing out the details I've been talking with the commissioners about... As soon as I figure out how to juggle them so the guy on the bottom doesn't end up waiting a billion years.
They'll also have to wait for the current project to wrap up, too. But I think it'll be worth the wait. Right now, there are three possible successors to Daddy's Home as my next big story. I'm keeping the details hush-hush at the moment, [redacted] Since Daddy's Home is gonna wrap up in two more chapters, I though it would be smart to build up some hype for what's next so everyone doesn't run off as soon as I put the finishing touches on it. [redacted] The original plan was to write up a trio of short, sex-light trailers, like 5k each, to introduce the characters and set the stage for each tale. Seems I'm not all that good at keeping things brief, though, so I decided I'm going to take a little extra time and flesh all three out into full chapters! I'll be working extra hard to try and get them all done by the end of the month so I can release them all at once, so keep an eye out for them!
Oh, and I'll be doing my first bonus chapter this month! [redacted]I'm still not quite sure what I should write about...

Progress Report #1

UPDATED: 12/17

So, just a little bit of a heads up for those few of you who are paying attention to this blog.

I managed to finish National Novel Writing Month early, with 50,677 words on the 19th, so that's super-awesome. Feels great to know that I've actually managed to write a book even if it's kind of terrible at the moment and really needs the sequels to make the idea work properly. However, I have to say, the experience is most valuable to me because it showed me just how much work I can do, and how quickly I can do it, when I eliminate my distractions.

To illustrate that point, I've just finished the first draft of a long-overdue request, coming in at 9000+ words, and I pulled it off in two and half days of proper writing. If I keep up this pace, and this focus, I foresee a whole new horizon of productivity opening up before me. Just... oceans of porn.

Anyways, after this one, I'm planning to do another quick overdue request, and then get right back into Daddy's Home. [redacted]

[redacted]

UPDATE:
Thanks to some family shennanigans, it took for-fucking-ever, but I finally finished the rewrite of the story. I'm just waiting to hear back from the requester if it's done or not.
I really hope it's done, because this story weighs in at 17500 words. It is enormous, but in my defense, it's also pretty damn hot.
If it gets approved, I'll be trying to post it by the end of the week.
